About Me.

Hi! I'm Maggie. My friends call me Maggs. After graduating from Montana State University with a Fisheries degree I began playing around with metal. I recently started making jewelry as a craft and immediately became a bit obsessed. Originally from Alaska, my jewelry is inspired by the places and adventures I love.

AK Metalworks got its name from my dads beloved de havilland Beaver on floats. He flew it for over 20 years as a bush pilot and I grew up in its backseat. Its tail number was N121AK. Alpha Kilo. 

Besides from sawing, hammering and soldering, I spend my time commercial fishing in Alaska, skiing from my snow machine and hanging out with my best friend mish-pup.
